I just couldn't include this with the next "Exploring the Archives" blog post that I'm working on, because it deserves it's own. I've known about these for quite some time and have spoken with many about them, but no one has seen these until now. They are the only and original set of photos taken during the very first Defeat of Jesse James Days in 1948. The collection include some wonderful photos of the re-enactors and the committee, along with some shots of the parade. The faces are so memorable and their characters are of Hollywood caliber.
These photos define the very concept of this series. They are too good to stay in a cabinet, and are finally available for anyone, anytime to view in their own home.
Enjoy! Imagine being there. Do you know anyone in these photos?
