Visions and Versions of the Northfield Raid
We are hosting the national release of Johnny D. Bogg’s latest novel Northfield: A Western Story, on July 14th from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Bogg’s will give a brief presentation titled; Visions and Versions of the Northfield Raid and immediately following he will sign copies of his latest book.
In a unique, compelling approach, Boggs shifts perspectives from one first-person account to another, allowing participants—both outlaws and Minnesotans—describe the bloody robbery as well as the events leading up to it and its aftermath. Boggs brings the past alive—giving unique insight into figures such as the James and Younger Brothers, outlaw Clell Miller, heroic Northfielders, innocent victims and even Lizzie May Heywood.
From New Mexico, Boggs' is a two time Spur award-winner and has been called “among the best western writers at work today†has written many novels about the west. They have included; East of the Border, Lonely Trumpet, Spark on the Prairie: The Trial of the Kiowa Chiefs and many more.
