Circus in Downtown Northfield

I was going through some of our images we had scanned by the Minnesota Digital Library, and I came across this photograph and I thought I would share it with you all. It is a picture of a circus parading through downtown Northfield in about 1880. I believe the picture is looking south down Division Street.

It must have been a pretty big deal when the circus came to town the library has a set of 4 bronzes from the original library and one features a circus. Take a look at the attached flickr address.
