Caught in the Storm

On September 7, 1876 six outlaws from the James-Younger Gang rode out of Northfield, Minnesota after a failed attempt to rob the First National Bank of Northfield.  For the next two weeks, under dark and rainy skies, the wounded outlaws journeyed over one hundred miles in an effort to escape Minnesota.  Amid rain-swollen rivers, sudden encounters with unsuspecting citizens, and the largest posse in U.S. history on their tail, Jesse and Frank James, Cole, Jim and Bob Younger, and Charlie Pitts would endure the most harrowing adventure of their lives.
