The railroad played an enormous role in the development of Northfield. Learn about how it began and expanded from one of Northfield's premire experts, Jim Machacek.

The exhibit rooms have undergone significant upgrade with fresh paint and trim, higher ceilings and installation of high-end, museum-quality lighting. It's a fresh clean palatte awaiting installation of a completely upgraded and expanded Jesse James exhibit and Northfield History exhibit coming soon.

Now - onto the outside. Trucks will take over the Division Street parking spots in front of the Scriver Building, if they haven't already, as crews prepare for demolition of the existing peaked roof.

Northfield Middle School 6th grader, Alicia Lundell, received an honorable mention for her exhibit, "The Underground Railroad," at the Minnesota State History Day May 1 at the University of Minnesota.
